Corey Tribute

Corey Todd Taylor (born December 8, 1973 in Des Moines, Iowa) is the lead vocalist for Slipknot, a nine-piece nu-metal band and founding member for hard rock band Stone Sour.

Taylor grew up (without knowing his Irish father) in Des Moines, along with other Slipknot band members.^[1] This has been an inspiration to much of Slipknot's work; including their third studio album Iowa, and the song "(515)", which is the telephone area code for central Iowa.

Taylor planned on contributing to thrash metal band Anthrax' latest untitled album.^[4][5] But due to Taylor's many projects they conflict with their schedule and Taylor will be contributing to a few songs not the whole album, as first planned.^[6] Taylor is currently signed to Roadrunner Records.
